Ten Named to All-ACC Academic Team

DURHAM – Ten members of the Duke volleyball team were selected to the All-ACC Academic Team for the 2022 campaign, as announced by the league office Tuesday.

The Blue Devils honored were Taylor Atkinson, Devon Chang, Lizzie Fleming, Gracie Johnson, Kerry Keefe, Rachel Richardson, Sydney Tomlak, Nikki Underwood, Moorea Wood and Sydney Yap

All 15 ACC volleyball programs are represented on the All-ACC Academic Team with ACC Co-Champion Pitt leading the conference with 13 student-athletes, followed by Virginia with 12, Boston College with 11 and Duke, Louisville, Notre Dame and Virginia Tech with 10.

Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests.

The Blue Devils finished the 2022 campaign 16-13 overall and 7-11 in conference play.

The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
