LEXINGTON, Ky. – USC beach volleyball senior All-Americans Megan Kraft (San Diego, Calif./Torrey Pines HS) and Delaynie Maple (San Diego, Calif./Torrey Pines HS) were named the American Volleyball Coaches Association/CollegeBeachVB.com National Pair of the Week on Monday, March 18.

Kraft-Maple collect the seventh all-time National Pair of the Week honor won by a Trojan duo. Last year, Audrey Nourse and Nicole Nourse were chosen on May 8 following USC’s NCAA championship three-peat run. The award is a first for Maple but marks the second time that Kraft has been selected. She and partner All-American Tina Graudina were chosen for the honor on April 13, 2021.

The Trojans’ senior tandem has occupied the top court all season and improved to 17-1 with four wins at the FAU Beach Invitational over the weekend. They extended their win streak to 12 consecutive victories and helped the Women of Troy also reach 12 straight wins. The Trojans defeated Palm Beach Atlantic, No. 16 Florida Atlantic, No. 12 Florida International, and No. 5 TCU in duals.

Kraft and Maple started the weekend with a 21-12, 21-6 win over PBA’s Gabriella Aziz and Anna Dunbar and then took down FAU’s Courtney Moon and Marketa Svozilova, 21-13, 21-13. Against the 12th-ranked Panthers, Kraft-Maple earned a 21-15, 21-16 win over Giada Bianchin and Reka Orsi Toth; and then won their 23rd consecutive set, 21-19, against TCU’s Hailey Hamlett and Anhelina Khmil. Despite the end of that streak, Kraft and Maple prevailed with a three-set win over the Horned Frog duo, 21-19, 18-21, 15-13. It was the only set dropped over the weekend for the dynamic duo, which is now 45-4 all-time (eighth in school history).

No. 1-ranked USC (16-2) hosts Concordia (13-4) and 13th-ranked Hawai’i (8-7) for a pair of duals at Merle Norman Stadium on Tuesday (March 19). The Trojans have won 22 straight duals on home sand and are 87-11 all-time in their home stadium (4-0 in 2024). CUI and Hawai’i will play a 10 a.m. PT dual and then USC takes on the Golden Eagles at 12:30 p.m. before it concludes the day with a match-up against…
