COLUMBIA, Mo. – The University of Missouri volleyball team announced Monday its 2024 schedule and season tickets. The campaign features 12 regular-season home matches at the Hearnes Center including a home-opening tournament Sept. 13-15.
The schedule is highlighted by 10 matchups against NCAA Tournament teams from this previous season including back-to-back NCAA National Champion Texas.
The Tigers will host their Black & Gold Scrimmage Aug. 18 before facing Omaha in exhibition play on Aug. 25.
Mizzou will commence the 2024 regular season at Creighton’s Bluejay Invitational Aug. 30-Sept. 1 in Omaha, Nebraska.
The Tigers will host Kansas City (Missouri-Kansas City), UT Martin and Lindenwood in its home-opening Mizzou Invitational Sept. 13-15 at the Hearnes Center.
Missouri will also compete in the NKU Invitational Sept. 6-8 in Highland Heights, Kentucky, and the Lipscomb Tournament, a two-match set against Lipscomb and Illinois in Nashville, Tennessee, Sept. 19-20, before the 2024 SEC slate.
The SEC schedule is a single round robin plus two, as every team will play a 16-match league schedule with each team playing each other at least one time and getting two teams twice. For 2024, Missouri will face off twice, both home and away, with Kentucky and Mississippi State.
League action kicks off on Sept. 27 with a trip to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for a Tigers battle at LSU before heading to Texas A&M on Sept. 29.
Mizzou then stays on the road for the first of two meetings with Kentucky in 2024, facing off with the Wildcats Oct. 6 in Lexington, Kentucky, to commence the home-and-home series.
MU hosts in-state foe SEMO Oct. 9 to open a four-match home stand. Following the Tigers final non-conference matchup, Mizzou will also host Alabama (Oct. 11), Tennessee (Oct. 13) and Mississippi State (Oct. 20) to commence Mizzou’s SEC home slate.
Missouri then hits the road for a three-match stint, starting with Arkansas (Oct. 25) before trips to SEC newcomers Oklahoma (Oct. 27) and Texas (Nov. 1).
The Tigers then return to Columbia for a three-match homestand with meetings against Georgia (Nov. 6), South Carolina (Nov. 10) and Florida (Nov. 15).
Mizzou then goes back on the road for its final pair of away matchups, touring Mississippi with stops at Ole Miss (Nov. 22) and Mississippi State (Nov. 24, second of two…
