CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois volleyball announced its annual Fan Day for August 10 at Huff Hall prior to the FamILLy Movie Night at Memorial Stadium later that evening. The preseason event, which takes place from 1-3 p.m., is free to the public gives fans a first look at the 2024 squad.
“This will be the second year of a great event for all ages where you get to interact with the team, learn more about our wonderful sport, and much more,” head coach Chris Tamas said. “We will have kid-friendly food and several activities available as well as stations to interact with everyone involved with the Illinois volleyball team and supporters. We look forward to seeing everyone on August 10th!”
The event will include food trucks, giveaways, and skill stations with Fighting Illini volleyball coaches and student-athletes. Fans will also have a chance to get to know the team with player introductions at the end of the Fan Day celebrations.
Metered street parking will be available for the event. Parking at the State Farm Center will also be an option for fans in attendance.
The Orange and Blue begin the season on Aug. 30 with a match against Cincinnati. The Fighting Illini’s home opener is set for Sept. 3 against Illinois State. First serve from Huff Hall is slated for 7 p.m.
