COLLEGE PARK, MD — The University of Maryland volleyball team officially made its single-game tickets available Wednesday morning.
The Terps will host 12 contests at the XFINITY Center Pavilion in 2023, with a pair of contests against non-conference opponents and 10 matchups against Big Ten opposition.
In its first home matches of the season, Maryland will host the Maryland Tournament, where it will face off against Coastal Carolina in the home opener on Friday, September 8, followed by a match against Princeton the next day.
Maryland will open Big Ten action at home with a weekend set against Purdue on Friday, September 22nd and Michigan on Sunday, September 24.
Two weekends later, the Terps will welcome Minnesota to the XFINITY Center Pavilion on Friday, October 6, in a clash that will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network. Maryland will close out the weekend with a showdown against Indiana the following Saturday.
UMD will return to College Park after a weekend away for a pair of matches against Illinois (20th) and Iowa (21st) to conclude its home slate in October.
Wisconsin (Friday, Nov. 10) and Ohio State (Sunday, Nov. 12) travel to Maryland three weekends later for a pair of marquee matches. In the past two seasons, the Terps have knocked off both squads while they were ranked in the AVCA Top 5, with a 3-2 upset over No. 2-ranked eventual national champions Wisconsin in 2021 and a 3-1 victory over No. 5 Ohio State in 2022.
The 2023 regular season will end at home for Maryland Thanksgiving week, as the Terps will take on Penn State (Wednesday, Nov. 22) and Rutgers (Friday, Nov. 24) round out the slate.
