Women’s Volleyball Drops Two at Dartmouth

Hanover, NH – The Merrimack College women’s volleyball team played a doubleheader in Hanover, NH in the Dartmouth Invitational. In the first contest, Ivy League foe Dartmouth finished with a 3-0 final, while Lehigh followed suit earning a win in three sets. Sydney Green led the Warriors in kills with 17, Mia Ardila had 23 assists, and Cate Wright had 9 digs.

Set Breakdown (Match 1):

  • Both teams battled to a six-point tie. Merrimack tried to take the lead until Dartmouth went on a 10-point lead. Merrimack broke up the lead by receiving a point due to an attack error made by Dartmouth. Green answered with a kill, assisted by Ardila to bring the Warriors back into the first set. Dartmouth finished the first set, leading by 14 points.
  • Ardila lead the team in 13 assists throughout the three sets played.
  • Merrimack had a four-point lead into the second set lead by kills from Green , Hannah Webber, and Lauryn Mattiucci. Dartmouth responded back with their own four-point lead. Both teams scored to break their ties but Dartmouth went on…
