In a recent announcement, Cucine Lube Civitanova confirmed that their player, and Bulgarian national team member Aleksandar Nikolov, will miss the upcoming Volleyball Nations League 2024.
Nikolov, who had already sat out the last two matches of the Credem Banca 5th Place Play Offs, will undergo surgery on May 16th at the Borgo Trento Hospital in Verona. The operation will be conducted by Professor Massimo Balsano, and Nikolov is expected to take a minimum of 60 days off for recovery. The decision for surgery was made after extensive consultations involving team officials and medical experts.
