In a recent update from Itas Trentino, the team has confirmed that their setter, Riccardo Sbertoli, has suffered a significant injury during the CEV Champions League match against Berlin Recycling Volleys. After undergoing medical examinations on Thursday evening and further assessments, the medical team has diagnosed Sbertoli with a displaced fracture of the proximal phalanx of the fifth finger on his left hand.
As a result of this injury, Sbertoli is scheduled to undergo surgery in the early days of next week. The timeframe for his recovery is currently under evaluation, leaving his return to the court uncertain.
