Lewis Men's Volleyball Ready to Host Three Game Homestand


ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The Lewis men’s volleyball team starts their home slate this week against Missouri S&T Tuesday (Jan. 10), King (Jan. 11) and UC-San Diego on Saturday (Jan. 14) at Neil Carey Arena.

Series History vs. Missouri S&T

This will be the first-ever meeting between both programs as the Miners are a new program for 2023. 

Series History vs. King

Lewis leads the all-time series between both programs, 6-0. The Flyers won the most recent meeting back on January 3, 2020, 3-0.  

Series History vs. UC-San Diego

Lewis leads the all-time series, 7-3, with the Flyers winning the most recent meeting on January 11, 2020, 3-0. 

Last Week in Review

Lewis went 0-2 this past weekend with setbacks against UC-Irvine and BYU both in four sets. Max Roquet (Johnston, Iowa/Johnston) led the way with 27 kills and Tyler Morgan (Dike, Iowa/New Hartford) recorded 85 assists. 

NCAA Division I-II Rankings

Lewis is ranked No. 15 in the NVA/AVCA Men’s Volleyball Division I-II Coaches Poll that was released on January 9.

Promotions this week

Lewis has their home opener next Tuesday, January 10 as the Flyers take on Missouri S&T for Student Organization Night and Flyer Fan Night where will receive a beanie courtesy of Student Engagement.  and with the first of three home games during the week. The Flyers host King on Wednesday, January 11 at 7 p.m. CT for Club Night and will take on UC-San Diego Saturday, January 14 at 7 p.m. CT to wrap up the week for Polar Bear Night.
