A New Year's message to the World ParaVolley community > World ParaVolleyWorld ParaVolley

Now that the end of the year is fast approaching, I want to thank all of the World ParaVolley community for their dedication and commitment to the development and progress of ParaVolley in 2022.  Thankfully, we are now entering a new era in which the pandemic no longer influences our activities to the same degree, and we can look forward to normal conditions being resumed.

This will mean an extremely busy competition year in 2023 – and that is what we all want – with the four Zone Championships and the World Cup all providing sitting paravolley slots for Paris 2024 and an increase in beach paravolley opportunities around the world.  In addition to these World ParaVolley-owned events, there are other events on the 2023 calendar that we support such as the Youth Para Pan America Games, the Asian Para Games, the ASEAN Para Games and the African Para Games.

I am very excited by the qualifications and experience of the recently elected Board of Directors as this will provide the necessary leadership of the international federation to keep improving and developing.  Areas for focus include marketing, communications, safe sport, governance and development activities and we are also planning for a much greater involvement of past athletes and females.

It should be a great year ahead and I look forward to your ongoing support of our ParaVolley athletes and our dedicated group of volunteer officials.
