Beach Volleyball is back in Seattle

SEATTLE— In their first home event this season, the Huskies will be looking for a backyard victory in back-to-back home tournaments, starting with the Pac-12 North Tournament on April 5th and 6th. This weekend will be the first time the Huskies have played at home all season. On Friday, the Huskies take on No. 12 ASU at 1:00 p.m. and No. 2 Stanford at 3:00 p.m. On Saturday, the Huskies vie against No. 7 California at 1:00 p.m. and then Oregon at 4:00 p.m.

With one of the most demanding schedules in the country, the Huskies have competed against twelve ranked teams in the first half of the season, all on the road. The Huskies will take on three more ranked opponents this weekend, potentially bolstering their resume as they look to make a push for a NCAA Championship berth.

The Pac-12 North Tournament is the season’s second “conference tournament” for the Dawgs. They competed in the Pac-12 South Tournament in Tempe, Arizona, earlier this season. The Pac-12 has seven teams ranked inside the top 20.

Last Time Out

While in Texas two weeks ago, the UW Beach Volleyball team picked up four wins against Houston Christian, Texas, Florida Gulf Coast, and No. 13 Florida International from March 20th through 23rd.

The Huskies picked up a big-ranked win against the then-higher ranked FIU on March 22nd, which helped push them back into their highest ranking of the season at No. 13 for the third time this season.
