Bahrain Volleyball Association held the fourth Junior Volleyball Festival at the BVA Hall on Friday, February 17, with a total of 282 young players from 11 clubs taking part on the occasion of the anniversary of National Action Charter.

BVA Board of Directors Members, Abdul Reda Ashoori, Habib Mohammed, Rashid Jaber and Salman Al-Badou were quests of honour at the event, which was organised by the BVA’s Competitions Committee.

The National Action Charter is a national document which represents Bahraini citizens, their aspirations, their community, its requirements, and its development. The Kingdom of Bahrain celebrates the National Action Charter on February 14 each year.

Abdul Reda Ashoori, head of the Competitions Committee, said that the fourth festival was a great success in light of the wide participation of 282 young players representing 11 clubs. At the end of the festival, honorary medals were distributed to all the participating players.

Ashoori added that the Bahrain Volleyball Association, under the guidance of His Excellency Sheikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Directors, is very keen to hold youth festivals periodically every season, because of their great impact in raising young people to love the game, graduating a group of players and strengthening the base of the volleyball game in the Kingdom and giving young players the opportunity to compete and play in an atmosphere that is not devoid of fun, entertainment and familiarity.

Ashoori thanked the BVA President His Excellency Sheikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa for his support for staging the festival, appreciating the follow-up and interest of Secretary General Firas Al-Halwachi, which contributed to the success of this festival and the rest of the festivals. He also thanked the rest of the working committees led by the Referees Committee, chaired by Rashid Jaber, for their efforts in managing matches,
