Ducks Host Alumni Match on Sunday


EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon volleyball team hosts its alumni match Sunday, May 21, at 3:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public with doors opening at 3 p.m. Fans should enter Matthew Knight Arena using the North entrance. Open seating will be available in Sections 101-105.
 
The Ducks are happy welcome back more than 20 past standouts including seven current #ProDucks: Taylor Agost, Gloria Mutiri, Brooke Nuneviller, Lauren Page, August Raskie, Ronika Stone and Lindsey Vander Weide. Additionally, several member of the 2012 national runner-up team will be attending including AVCA National Player of the Year Alaina Bergsma Gilbert.

On Monday, Nuneviller was named to the 30-player USA Volleyball National Team roster for the 2023 Volleyball Nations League (VNL). She is one of 10 newcomers to the VNL which features three weeks of preliminary competition; Nuneviller will play libero. Fourteen players from the roster will be selected to travel to each week’s round of matches. The finals will be held July 12-16 in Arlington, Texas.
 
The current Ducks are set to be without Mimi Colyer who is training with the USAV U21 NORCECA Pan American Cup roster in Anaheim. After the week-long training session, 12 players from the group of 18 will be selected to compete at the 2023 U21 Pan Am Cup (May 23-28) in Mexico.
