Finlandia closing at year’s end

Burns promoted from assistant to head coach at Rockford

Finlandia will cease to exist at the end of the year, announcing it “will not enroll students for the 2023-24 academic year.”

Finlandia, founded in 1896, will help transition current students via agreements with Michigan Tech and Bay, Adrian and Wartburg colleges, while another agreement with Northern Michigan is in the works.

Finlandia’s volleyball program was a Region IX member of the Coast-To-Coast Conference.
