Oskaloosa–Landon Krause (So., Appleton, Wis., Sports Management) and Ike Papes (Jr., Elwood, Ill., Business Management) added to their postseason hardware haul as the NAIA Men’s Volleyball All-America teams were announced Tuesday.

Krause was a First-Team selection, while Papes was named to the Second Team.  A total of 27 individuals were honored with nine on the first, second, and honorable-mention squads.

Both had already been honored by the AVCA for the same distinctions.  They helped William Penn to a 23-9 record (14-4 Heart), a trip to the Heart of America Athletic Conference Tournament Finals, and the program’s first appearance in the NAIA National Championship.

Krause wrapped up his first year in the navy and gold by tallying 353 kills (3.60 per set) on a .386 attack clip; the hitting clip led the entire NAIA.  He also recorded 159 digs, 66 blocks (10 solos, 56 assists), 53 aces, and 20 assists.

An NAIA Defender of the Week back in February, he posted 20 double-digit efforts, headlined by a high of 25 kills vs. Park on March 8.  Krause tallied five double-doubles.

In addition to his top attack percentage ranking, the sophomore also finished in the top 25 nationally in four other categories, including kills, kills per set, aces, and aces per set.

Papes concluded his season with 395 kills (4.03 per set) on a .297 attack mark, while also posting 102 digs, 40 blocks (eight solos, 32 assists), 26 aces, and 11 assists.

He managed 22 double-digit efforts with a high of 23 kills against Clarke on March 2.  The junior ranked in the top 20 in the NAIA in kills, kills per set, and attack percentage.

Francisco Arredondo of Grand View was chosen as NAIA Player of the Year, while Taylor Stallman of Benedictine Mesa (Ariz.) was named NAIA Coach of the Year.
