Loreen, Robinson First Husky Beach All-Americans

SEATTLE – Seniors Chloe Loreen and Natalie Robinson shattered every Husky Beach Volleyball record and today they made more history, becoming the first Huskies ever named AVCA Beach Volleyball All-Americans. Loreen and Robinson were both named to the First Team after leading the Huskies to their best season in program history.

In addition to the All-America honor, the pair were also named to the All-Pac-12 First Team today, just the third and fourth Huskies to garner first team honors, and the first time UW has had two First Team picks in one season.

This season, Loreen and Robinson set single season records for dual wins (28), overall wins (42), and ran their career dual wins record as a duo to 49, and their career total wins as a pair to 63. After playing a handful of matches together in the Covid-shortened 2020 season, Loreen and Robinson teamed up again starting in 2022 at the No. 1 position, going 18-9 a year ago.

Moving into the sport’s first-ever fall season, Loreen and Robinson won six matches at the inaugural AVCA Pairs National Championship to reach the semifinals, building more confidence for the spring season. They again proved to be one of the best duos in the nation by going 28-7 at the No. 1 spot, while helping the Huskies set program records with 21 victories and a program-high No. 12 national ranking. They also had a winning record against every Pac-12 No. 1 pair with the exception of USC.

Robinson was able to grab three more victories outside of their partnership, so she ends her career as the winningest individual Husky with 95 wins, while Loreen is No. 2 with 92 wins. They rank 1-2 in career dual match wins as well with 68 for Robinson and 62 for Loreen.

But in spite of a small difference in their individual win totals, they’ll be linked together forever in the history books as Washington’s first All-Americans.
