No. 2 Louisville Takes Down No. 11 Georgia Tech

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Led by 16 kills from Claire Chaussee, the No. 2-ranked University of Louisville volleyball team defeated No. 11 Georgia Tech in four sets 22-25, 25-14, 24-21, and 25-21 on Sunday afternoon at the L&N Federal Credit Union Arena. 
 
Louisville extends its unbeaten streak in the ACC play to 32 straight matches and moves its record to 13-1 overall and 4-0 in ACC play. Elena Scott had a career-high 26 digs, five assists, and two aces. Chaussee led the team with 16 kills hitting .351, adding an ace, and nine digs. Aiko Jones notched 12 kills hitting .385 with seven blocks. Phekran Kong also had seven blocks and notched five kills. Amaya Tillman led the team in blocks with eight; she also had ten kills. Raquel Lazaro had 42 assists, three kills, 12 digs, an ace, and five blocks.
 
Georgia Tech hit .150 and had 48 kills, six aces, and five blocks as a team. The Yellow Jackets were led by Erin Moss, who had 11 kills hitting .409 and a block. Julia Bergmann had ten kills and six digs. Breland Morrissette had nine kills and one block.
 
The Cardinals head to Boston College for an ACC matchup on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. ET and then head to Syracuse where they will play Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
