Set 1: Grand View University 25 l Peru State College 16

The Vikings found themselves down in a quick 4-0 hole to open the first set, but quickly rallied to take the lead at 6-5. The turning point came in the middle stages when Grand View went on a 6-0 scoring spurt, led by two kills from Alexa Aldrich-Ingram (SR/Iowa City, IA), to increase its lead to 14-9. The Vikings never let the Bobcats regain any momentum as two more scoring runs of 3-0 and 4-0 led the Vikings to a set win.

Set 2: Grand View University 25 l Peru State College 11

After the two squads battled to a 5-5 draw, it was all Grand View the rest of the way, sparked by a 5-0 scoring spurt with kills from Jenna Wagemester (SR/Cedar Rapids, IA), Taylor Carey (SR/Waukee, IA) and a service ace by Lauren Bair (JR/Braddyville, IA). The Vikings went on an even bigger scoring streak of 7-0 later to put the score at 19-7 as they were able to capitalize on multiple attack errors from the Bobcats. Grand View would keep its foot on the pedal and closed out the set off another Peru State miscue.
